Safety point: We have a radio permanently connected to the Canal K.
In summer, the Ibex trail is accessible to families about 1h30 from the Grande Dixence dam.
With any luck, your path will cross that of the ibex.
Loop hike: approx. 4h (practicable from July to October). Educational posts along the trail, suitable for families (from 6-8 years). Guide booklet available at the Grande Dixence information pavilion and at the region’s tourist offices.
All summer 2025, in the valley of Prafleuri on the ibex trail, P.R.A.F.L.E.U.R.I: On the Trail of the 9 Sacred Letters. each letter of the word PRAFLEURI corresponds to a step with a puzzle or challenge. Hikers advance on the trail and at each key point, discover a letter and solve a challenge or riddle to continue to the hut. Free, for young and old.
In winter, its access remains exclusively reserved for ski tours, from Pralong Verbier, Mont-Fort or Nendaz, it is on the route of the Haute route Chamonix-Zermatt!
